Probably the best affordable omakase in Chicago! Sometimes I don’t want the super fancy, expensive omakase experience or all you can eat. This place finds the right balance of great quality sushi with a bit of experimental flavors that don’t break the bank. I got their table side omakase and everything from the service to the courses was absolutely amazing. Please, whatever you do, don’t skip on dessert. The cheesecake absolutely blew me away (and it’s homemade!!). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $60–70

The 15 course experience was really good. This was a 2 hour service. The reason I put 3 stars is because the noise of the background of the people dining regular menu was really loud that it kind of ruined the experience, besides that the chef was speaking too low that we barely heard her. I've been in other Omakase experiences that are kind of a ritual. For me, Omakase shouldn't be mixed with regular restaurant. Otherwise they should put a chef for every 4 people instead of 6 or more people. Since the food was good I may come back but not for the Omakase experience. The quantity of the wine serving wasn't even 5 oz. I've heard this restaurant is byob with a cork fee charge.(not sure about it, but i will bring my own wine if I come back). We had Lee as our chef (making all of our Omakase from scratch) and he was both a wonderful chef and conversationalist. We also became good friends with the couple that sat next to us. The food is as great as the environment and staff - I'd 100% recommend Omakase Box. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
