Great variety of drinks. Outdoor area for smoking. Close to university. More adult atmosphere than Chuck's. Pool table. Parking limited but walkable area. I have never tried the cooked food but there are a variety of snacks and people seem to enjoy their burgers. Responsible bartenders. Price per person: $1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

On the Rocks is a *great* restaurant masquerading as a student bar. Come in and you'll see why - the sandwiches, salads, Tuesday nachos, Friday prime rib, fry platters - they are a cut above. In many cases, they're the best in Hays. And for a very reasonable price. And the staff really busts it's backside to serve you well, even when it's crowded. Which it often is.
