Don't be fooled by the 3.3 Google rating. Chinese people flock here en masse to get some of this food. There are lineups apparently that are constant at 10PM or later. The modest and a little unkept interior is a testament to how their food does all the talking. No fancy service or lavish interiors. Just plain good Northern Chinese food that has Korean influences. This is a hidden gem, contrary to what the clearly entitled Canadian clientele will tell you. First time we visited One Plus One BBQ, everything were great! Food was hot, flavourful and delicious. We thought we had found a new go to place for Chinese style barbecue. Slightly cheaper than other places in the area. Second time however, everything were subpar. Together we had the sweet potato chips, barbecue vegetables, eggplant, lamb skewer, and soy sheets (tofu skin). Certain items were lukewarm. Soy sheets were not fresh and tasted as if they were about to turn bad. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. If I want food that is about to go bad, I can find hidden items at the back of my fridge, not at a restaurant.
