Food was ok. They were not welcoming to foreigners, unfriendly service and overcharged us adding extra items to the bill that was all in Japanese making it difficult to figure out. I am happy to figure things out in Japanese and use their language but they were obvious we were not welcome. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Visited the place on 11/12. Just 1 table with 2 customers when we arrived. Seated and ordered 3 sodas, a green onion/pork pancake and a tofu appetizer. Customers quickly filled the 5 tables that were available. We waited for our pancake and watched other customers orders being served that had arrived later than us. We patiently waited and when finally asked about the order after 25 min, owners wife said “just wait a little bit more”. So we waited another 5 mins. After that we got up and asked for a check and were charged 3400 for the food we did not receive. Why were all other Japanese customers served before us? I don’t have an answer for that, but I can totally tell you that if you don’t speak the language don’t go here. I honestly believe that foreigners were discriminated against and ripped off because we can’t fight back. They kept saying “thank you, Thank you”, but gave us no explanations and ripped us off with a bill. DO NOT EAT HERE. Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Service: 1

I was just looking for a place to eat near my hotel and randomly found this spot - no regrets! The food and service were great. I was alone and the staff didn’t speak much English, but they still welcomed me with a warm smile. I got the okonomiyaki and honestly finished it in minutes, it was so good! Definitely coming back here next time I’m in Tokyo! Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
