Stopped by because the JC Penney museum was unexpectedly closed. What a fun little surprise! The banana pudding ice cream was an absolute delight! And the pumpkin butterscotch snickerdoodle? I didn't get to it until the next day, and yet it was DIVINE. Soft and gooey, perfectly flavored, it put me in the Fall mood immediately. Seriously considered driving 6 hours back here just to get more. And I was also pleasantly surprised at the price I paid as well. I think I am happy after all that the museum was closed for the day! Super cute store. We had breakfast in Kemmerer and were glad we discovered the Opera House Store. The historic building has been restored and redecorated so tastefully. It is a treat to go in, look around, and enjoy the ambiance. They sell pastries, cookies, breakfast sandwiches on focacia bread, gourmet meats, specialty olive oils, and vinegars, as well as cute local and Wyoming gifts. If you find yourself in Kemmerer, make sure to stop by. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $1–10
