If you want to remember Oi Shrine, come to this restaurant first. At Orage, visitors can have perfectly cooked shrimp tempura, prawns and udon noodles. A lot of visitors order great tea.

Give this place a wide berth. The meat is awful. The chicken pieces were stale—I haven’t eaten anything worse in a long time. The stew was the same—drenched in artificial sauce. It’s hard to find anything positive—most of the food was left uneaten; we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat it, even though we were hungry. We got the floors mixed up—we wanted to check out the restaurants on the third. Very unpleasant mistake Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

Orage is a food court located above Arashiyama Station—perfect for a quick and affordable lunch in the area. There are plenty of food choices to choose from. I ordered the green tea tempura soba for 1,500 JPY, which tasted decent. Not sure if no one knows about this place or what, but it was pretty quiet when we went. The staff also gave us a ticket to access the rooftop, where you can enjoy nice views around the station. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
