Orange Restaurant in Patong is a hidden gem that offers delicious and authentic Thai cuisine at a great price. The establishment has a cozy and quiet ambiance, perfect for a relaxing meal away from the busy main road. The interior design is simple yet clean and organized. The prices are very reasonable, with breakfast sets starting at just 99 baht ($3.20 USD). The place is located down a side street, making it a little hard to find but well worth the search.
One of the special features of Orange Restaurant is their outdoor seating area, which provides a comfortable and cool dining experience. They also offer a variety of cocktails, soft drinks, and wines to complement their menu. Some of the must-try dishes include the green curry with seafood, garlic ginger ribs, and shrimp glass noodle soup. They also have a great selection of European dishes, such as chicken parma and cheeseburgers.
The staff at Orange Restaurant are friendly and attentive, providing excellent service to their customers. The owner, Mama, is always present and personally takes care of her guests. She even offers complimentary watermelon after meals as a sweet gesture. Overall, Orange Restaurant is a fantastic eatery that offers quality food, great service, and a peaceful atmosphere.
Large, airy room furnished in a simple but elegant way. Crystal tables and stainless steel cutlery. Exceptional cleanliness and hygiene, free fruit at the end and a complete and well-defined service. Located in a relaxing and quiet area. The only flaw... Too many fans... But luckily with the kindness of the staff they can be reported and turned off. The restaurant is excellent for breakfasts considering their price and some Thai dishes. I don't understand what the positive reviews are about, almost all Western dishes are on the fast-food side, cream soups are cooked on powder mixtures that you could buy at any store round the corner (just add some water!), the same goes for mashed potatoes (powder), cookies with tuna fish you could buy at any shop three times cheaper, they use canned tuna fish in all dishes, but forget mentioning it in the menu. Breakfast and some Thai food is good, the others - don't waste your time. Plus one star for the extensive menu card.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, providing a comfortable environment for a delightful dining experience. The staff at Orange Restaurant were attentive and friendly. They promptly greeted us upon arrival and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. One thing that stood out was their exceptional attentiveness to our needs. As they noticed us overheating, they kindly provided us with two fans to help us cool down, which was a thoughtful gesture that enhanced our dining experience. While most of the dishes we ordered were delicious, I did find one flaw in the otherwise delightful meal—the fried squid. Unfortunately, it was a bit too salty for my taste. The squid itself was cooked well, but the excessive saltiness somewhat overshadowed the flavors. It would be great if they could adjust the seasoning in the future to strike a better balance. Despite the minor issue with the fried squid, I would still recommend Orange Restaurant for its overall excellent Thai cuisine. The attentive staff and their willingness to go the extra mile to ensure our comfort were highly appreciated.
