The Ordnance Club, also known as the Officers’ Mess, is not a family-friendly place at all. Last Sunday during brunch, I placed my order at 11:15 a.m. At 11:45 a.m., a waiter came and told me that they had run out of almost everything and could only make karahi for me. Seriously? I’m not a fan of karahi in the morning. Timings for the brunce are 9:30 - 12 noon, clearly mentioned on their menu. It was extremely embarrassing, especially since my family had come to visit me from Islamabad on Sunday. In the end, I was only served parathas and eggs. No waiter apologized or even bothered to offer an explanation. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
