Ōre, with its minimalist design of wood, fabric and natural tones, offers an intimate culinary journey of over 30 bite-sized creations centred on Thai ingredients with select imports. It was somewhat interesting but the price for the experience is insane for what it is and for being in thailand. I spent close to $1000 and even in nyc this experience wouldn’t be that much. So that completely threw me off. Price per person: ฿2,000+

Similar to some of the other reviews here, I ended up making a reservation because of the rave reviews i've seen on reddit. I had high expectations and was excited to try it out but unfortunately my experience was mediocre. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. The entire meal was 33 courses (?) yet despite it being so drawn out, i didn't walk away from that experience with a distinct understanding of the chef's or restaurant's identity. Service was a bit of a mixed bag with some coming off as more experienced than others. There was too much attention paid on things that were unnecessary like changing our water glasses 3x during the meal for no real reason or replacing the napkin each time one stands up, yet basics of service like having a functional bathroom is overlooked. Explanations of each dish sometimes came off as chaotic with staff talking over each other which makes it hard to understand especially in a counter seating setup. Overall, i don't think this place or the experience it provides merits the pricing they ask for (which rivals 3-star establishments like el celler de can roca or le bernardin).
