Server didn’t know how to make an affogato? The gelato didn’t contain any bits of its seasoning. No chocolate in the stracciatella? No pistachio bits in that flavor. All were creamy but rather tasteless. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20

Oriens Café is a rare find — a place where you can enjoy proper gelato and well-made cakes, which aren’t always easy to come by in the U.S., especially outside major cities. They offer a wide selection of sweets, and it’s such a treat to have this level of quality available without needing to travel far. The fact that you can enjoy it all in a casual setting, alongside a full food menu, makes the experience even better. While the prices may not be low, the quality absolutely justifies them — these desserts are on par with what you'd expect from a fine restaurant, but in a much more relaxed and accessible setting. I'm genuinely glad this place exists nearby.
