Food is good, but I suggest getting there early, though, as it is a timed eating session. If you arrive late you can be waiting longer as they will be already cooking for those that have come earlier. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I have been fortunate to have experienced Master Orita's wonderful Japanese food for nearly 30 years, from his time as Head Chef at the Shiki in Adelaide to discovering his own restaurant was literally on our doorstep in Balnarring. We feel blessed to enjoy his food that is prepared from scratch with such love, passion, time and care. You can appreciate the many hours and days spent ensuring every dish is always of the highest quality with very delicate flavours and textures, it is the perfect fusion of Japanese tradition with a modern twist. Master hand-selects only the freshest seasonal produce (yes, you can taste the difference) and we always love trying all the different dishes on the omakase menu that changes based on the seasons and produce available at the time. The warm-welcome you receive from Carla makes us feel special and her service seems so effortless as she takes care of front-of-house all on her own. We love sitting back in the relaxed environment and patiently enjoying being spoilt. With dining now limited to only 12 people per night, we are grateful that we get to pre-book a place every couple of weeks to experience this fine cuisine and can't thank both Master Orita and Carla enough for their ongoing hospitality.
