The Pizza Boscaiola here is incredible. The toppings were fresh, the crust was perfect, and the flavors were totally authentic. It’s easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Today, February 22, 2026, my wife and I visited O’Sole Mio in Riga, at Dzirnavu iela 72. This might be one of our shortest reviews. The interior design is modern and visually appealing, stylish and well thought out. However, since the space is quite compact, you can clearly hear everything the kitchen staff and waiters are discussing, which slightly affects the overall atmosphere. We ordered two pizzas, Quattro Formaggi and Primavera, along with our usual two cappuccinos. Unfortunately, the cappuccino was almost impossible to drink due to the excessive amount of milk. As for the pizzas, they did not impress us. Nothing particularly special, the dough was quite thick, and the crusts were too hard to enjoy comfortably. The service also felt inattentive. The waiter did not ask whether we would like water, did not clear unnecessary items from the table, did not offer dessert, and did not check whether we enjoyed the meal. It felt like there was little interest in the overall guest experience. Overall, the place has potential thanks to its design and location, but the food and service did not meet our expectations this time. There aren’t many assumptions you can make from the name O'Sole MiO, except that the place is going to serve Italian food. And as expected, the restaurant had a distinctly Italian vibe, with excellent pizzas and wine to match. To my surprise, I also ended up tasting the best beer of my life. It was completely unexpected but a very pleasant twist. Our group of four decided to order two Boscaiola pizzas and two Calzone Maza Luna (I might be slightly off on the names). The Lunas were really good, though a bit too oily for my liking, and the Boscaiolas oddly differed from each other, with one being noticeably saltier. The place is clearly popular and usually busy, but on the national holiday we visited, it was even busier, with many takeaway orders coming in. Even with the extra rush, the staff managed to keep the service warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. Service: Dine in Price per person: €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
