On our month long trip of Italy, we stumbled across this place whilst in bologna , well Zola Predosa to be exact ...(25/11/16) What a fascinating place, it was like a living picture , everywhere you turned there were wine bottles, breads , signs , bottle openers, even the cutlery had a story to tell.... The owner is a wonderful man, so welcoming and knowledgeable, knows his food and wine, especially the local produce. He was fun and energetic and we had a laugh with him whilst letting him choose for us . He chose 3 incredible wines to accompany 3 fantastic pasta dishes . Would highly recommend this place along with bologna itself. Shout the name "Osteria Del Pignotto" to the roof tops, definitely worth visiting!
