Absolutely delicious food. Best we have had in Italy so far. I came here for both lunch and dinner and everything tasted really good. We dined with seven at dinner and everyone enjoyed their chosen dishes. In fact we all would have returned the following day for more of their delicious meals if it wasn’t closed on Mondays. 100% recommend. Very, very fortunate to get in without a reservation. Definitely book ahead. We were lucky. In addition to their indoor dining area, there is a small patio out front (where we dined) and on busier days a second smaller patio across the way. The food was delicious, the service impeccable. Try your Italian, but English is no barrier. For the high quality of the food, prices were reasonable. Most of the diners on the patio were Italian (whether visiting or residents of Montepulciano), which was so lovely to be immersed in the local language rather than just hearing English. The Tagliatelle with wild boar was amazing. Well worth dining here, but plan ahead, lots of folks were turned away! A group of six of us visited Osteria Del Conte on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed hands down the best food of our trip to Tuscany. It was well worth the trip to the top of the hill. Three of us had the set menus - one was three courses costing €25 and the other four courses costing €30, including antipasti, pasta, steak tagliata and a dessert of your choice, both with included glasses of the local red wine. This is Italian food at its best - simple, but tasty with the freshest ingredients. If in Montepulciano, this is a must visit!
