We had a wonderful experience at Othonas Taverna! We ordered several local Greek dishes, including three different meat dishes and a selection of appetizers. Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of authentic local flavours. The service was excellent — very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We paid around $40 per person, which felt like a very good value for the quality and amount of food. Highly recommended if you want to try delicious local cuisine with great service! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €35–40

Probably the best and definetly one of the most traditional tavernas in Rethymno! Situated in the old Town of Rethymno, you will see many local families joining for dinner in the evenings and on the weekends. Traditional dishes made with a twist, a great atmosphere with warm people and the owner of the taverna is a bliss! Othonas owns his tavern for many years and is the creator of the recipes served in his taverna. He will always try his best to make you comfortable and be sure that everything is ok. Needless to say that by the end of your meal, this taverna will feel like eating in a family home and become your favorite food place in town!
