Getting to Ovile Bertarelli may be a bit of an adventure, as the road leading up to it is unpaved and bumpy. However, the stunning views along the way make the journey well worth it. Once you arrive, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. If the weather permits, consider dining outdoors to fully appreciate the scenery.
Overall, Ovile Bertarelli is a must-visit eatery for anyone seeking an authentic Sardinian dining experience. From the delicious food to the warm hospitality and stunning location, this fine dining spot has it all.
We initially struggled to book a table at Ovile Bertarelli as we were in Baunei at the end of October, so I think they were winding down for the season. However they were eventually able to host us near the end of our stay and we couldn't be happier about it! We were able to book a 4x4 transfer with the restaurant from Baunei village and back, which meant we were really able to relax and enjoy our evening (and drink!). Everything we ate was fabulous – special mention to the curligiones, which were absolutely melt-in-the-mouth delicious. We paid €80 for everything (5+ courses, coffees, 2 jugs of wine + 4x4 transfer) which felt like excellent value. If you're looking for an authentic agriturismo experience, don't miss it! Easily a top highlight of our trip
