I come here often and this has quickly become one of my favorite places in Ookayama. I love the smell of charcoal from this place every afternoon. The eel is very tender and flavorful with a smoky charcoal tinge to every bite. At lunch time you can get a chicken and eel combination set that is delicious. They also offer very large sets if you are hungry, but eating well gets expensive fast. This is a family establishment that feels very welcoming from my first time coming in. I don’t speak much Japanese, but they always work with me to make sure I get what I like and ask about my family when we don’t come together.
