Popped into this spot with hubster while we were in Montreal. It's the pop up of the Restaurant Laloux. They had a very fun and creative menu and if I remember it was a very reasonably priced prix fix. I had the quail and it was cooked to perfection. Super tender and skin like a potato chip! Dessert was a meringue of some sort but refreshing and not too sweet! Service was friendly and they made some awesome recommendations!

I feel bad to give that low of a review having tried the other restaurant Laloux just beside owned by the same person, but tonight was a great disappointment. Everything was good until we ate the two last oysters out of 24. Not fresh and smelly. It can happen right? The thing is the waitress told us they got them in the morning and stated oysters were all fresh and literally told us in our face we were in other words wrong. We wouldn't have invented that for two oysters, come on! Later the "shucker" came out and made a scene and told us the team and him have smelled and checked all the oysters and that they were good. Well these two weren't. Tomatoes + mozzarella salad and smoked cavatelli were delicious. Choco moelleux cake was also very good, but the waitress again forgot to bring it! We had to make her remember. Isn't that obvious we are still sitting in the restaurant after that long? We would have been gone a while ago already if it wouldn't have been of the dessert. Only thing again, as mentioned in the previous comments, the service that is lacking. And OMG be sure you are very patient before coming here because it took FOREVER until we even get our first plate which was oysters. I'd def go back to Laloux but will forget about Pop!
