I've been coming here since I was a kid, Sunday brunch at the Packing House used to be a luxurious treat as a child. These days, I'm a little embarrassed to bring my fiancee here for dinner. I want to emphasize that the service levels at The Packing House are fantastic. Everyone from the host to the bus boy were attentive and adamant about us having the best experience they could manage. Unfortunately the service stops at the kitchen door. We have been served raw steak on three separate visits. Sending it back just means you're going to get it overdone and lightly charred. These plates start at $60, and it does not matter what cut you order. You're either getting something that tastes like meatloaf, or something still mooing at you. This place has tremendous sentimental value, but unfortunately that doesn't match the value of a dollar these days. Mediocre. The soup was the best. Steak was thin cut. but tasty.
The Chicken Cordon Bleu....1 piece of asparagus about 1/4" long. Maybe 1/2"? 2 pieces of ham about the same size. Seemed premade. It was just o.k.
