If you find yourself on the beautiful island of Culebra, Pan Café is a must-stop. The presentation alone earns points, my drink came with a perfectly dried orange slice that looked straight out of a lifestyle magazine. Refreshing, flavorful and clearly made with care. The pastrami sandwich was solid, fresh ingredients, well loaded, good bread. As a pastrami enthusiast who has eaten my way through some serious delis, I'll be honest, I've had better. The pastrami itself could use a little more depth and punch to compete with the greats. Good? Absolutely. Unforgettable? Not quite there yet. Now let's talk prices — yes, they're on the higher side. But here's the thing — you're on a island paradise that requires a ferry or a flight to get to, with turquoise water steps away. The "island tax" is real everywhere in Culebra, and Pan Café is no exception. Factor that in and it's still worth it for the experience. Great spot for breakfast or lunch, cool ambiance, attentive service and a drink menu that deserves its own photoshoot. If they level up the pastrami game this becomes an easy 5 stars. ️.
