Most Chinese restaurants these days are predominantly designed for takeout which is perfectly understandable. My sister and I decided to eat in at this location and got full table service much to our genuine surprise. The wonderful woman who managed the cash register was also our waitress and hostess and kept us absolutely satisfied and was very considerate and thoughtful. The food was delicious and the bowls and plates that the food was brought on were very lovely. This place is definitely a unique and special experience as far as Chinese restaurants go in baton rouge. This isn't exactly a fancy or elite high styled dining experience, but I would definitely say that it was comforting and welcoming. Eating in did not feel like we were out of place. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Egg Drop Soup Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Dietary restrictions: Like most Chinese restaurants I can't guarantee that it is kosher or halal considering the restricted size of what most Chinese kitchens are like, but it does look like this place is a solid option for vegetarian choices.

I really wanted to like it despite the atmosphere.... but It just wasn't good. A 4.9 score on reviews makes me think that people havent actually been to good chinese take out places before. Chicken on a stick had no flavor. Fried rice- no flavor. Crab wontons was nothing but a little cream cheese with again no flavor. Egg rolls were by far the worst I've tasted. Hunan chicken entree was okay. Not great but better than any thing else that was ordered. I feel bad to even be so negative but I'm just in total shock. I was looking forward to eating there.sadly. disappointed.I can say that I will not be back... sorry. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

PANDA HOUSE is one of my favorite places to get Chinese Take-Out. The food is always hot and fresh and is delicious. I am so happy that it is located three (3) lights down from my condo. I am there so often that they know it is me by what I order for myself or when I grab a combo for my parents. This is a spot I have enjoyed pre-pandemic and was thankful they were open during; so do yourself a favor and stop by.
