I decided to try one of the healthier options at Panda Express the String Bean Chicken Breast. It’s made with lean chicken breast and green beans instead of being breaded and deep fried, so it’s a lighter choice if you’re watching calories. For me, it was just okay. The chicken was not good cold and gummy it tasted a little bland and The rice I received was cold, which definitely took away from the meal. I also wasn’t a fan of the spring rolls mine was frozen inside and they weren’t something I’d order again. One thing I miss is how Panda Express used to serve their sweet and sour sauce in small containers hot and fresh.Now they hand out packets, and I just don’t think it’s as convenient or as enjoyable when you’re trying to dip your food. A few tips if you’re ordering: * If you want a healthier meal, the String Bean Chicken Breast is one of the better choices. * Ask for freshly made rice if your location is busy or if you’re unsure how long it’s been sitting. * If you like extra flavor, don’t forget to grab soy sauce, chili sauce, or sweet and sour packets before you leave the counter. * If you’re dining in, check your food before sitting down so any issues, like cold rice, can be fixed right away. Overall, I’d give this visit 2 out of 5 stars. I appreciate that Panda Express has healthier menu options, but between the bland chicken, cold rice, and disappointing spring rolls, this visit didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
