Asian guy making greek food. It was always funny. His health hasn't been good now his business is replaced by a Pho restaurant

Panos has been declining a lot over the few years as it seems the Asian owner's health was too. It's now closed permanently without a word. A Vietnamese Pho place has taken over. I think it's a testament to the owner, Hector who didn't really have a good business sense. He did not value their customers. I saw him shopping at Superstore a few months ago. Last winter they stopped honouring local coupons for their business. Panos was really good 20+ years ago, but that's history now. It seems many Greek restaurants have closed down over the last 5 years in Metro Vancouver. Only the sheety ones remain.

My office celebrated the birthday of a colleague on a Friday. We ordered lunch from Panos Greek Taverna on SE Marine Dr which is 5 minutes drive away. My colleague called up Panos Greek Cuisine to place the take out order at 11:00AM, when the restaurant opens for lunch. We told the restaurant that we will pick up our orders at 12:00PM. When one of my colleague arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes past 12:00PM, he was asked to wait. He waited for 20 minutes before our food were ready. That is how busy the restaurant is.
