During a weekend in September I went for lunch for the first time in this beautiful location with a panoramic view of the sea. I hadn't booked and although the place was full we were given a table with two seats close to the cash register. Displayed menu and long queue to order the choice of courses. Wide choice of wines for all budgets. We ordered a pepata of mussels, a risotto alla pescatora, a seafood troccolo at the price of €32 and a bottle of water. Discreet service. First courses with little flavor and behind cooking. The peppered mussels are good. Cover charge and service €1. Payment by credit card.

I called 4 or 5 times to book I was always asked to call back later. After the umpteenth phone call I was able to book. Whoever takes the call immediately puts their hands forward, it is also mandatory to book a table at the restaurant. Sitting at the table the waitresses (two girls who were certainly novices) were unable to give us an explanation on the dishes, invited to ask in the kitchen they came back more confused than before. The service was obviously a disaster, I passed empty plates as you do at home, giving the pile to the first seated and inviting him to pass to all the others, asking how many empty plates were served at the table, at the end of the appetizers, clearing everything, they invited us for the bitters at the checkout, obviously there were still first and second courses to serve us. As for the food mediocre salty and heavy to digest. Obviously the bill considering the lack of service (even the order we took to the cashier) and the mediocre food was too high, all this, moreover, I stress, was an obligation otherwise he would not have sold me the umbrellas. Welcome to Mattinata Lido Panta Rei!!!
