It is the best spot near Fountain on Main Square. If you are fond of Mediterranean and Vegetarian cuisines, come to this restaurant. Papiga provides perfectly cooked pizza. A number of reviewers suppose that you can eat tasty gelato here. A collection of good Spritz or delicious beer is recommended to guests. Here you may drink great iced coffee, espresso or lemonade.

Well below average food that you could do considerably better in your own kitchen on a really rushed bad day. For example a ham and cheese toasted sandwich - it would be so easy to give you a nice melting piece of cheese with even an average slice of ham. Here it is two pieces of barely warm toast that has then had a cold processed cheese slice slapped in the middle with a supermarket slice of ham. Toast dry. Then pancakes and chocolate, which turned out to be half warm pancake with retail chocolate sauce squirted room temperature into the middle. Barely edible, left half of it. It would have taken very little effort to do adequate rather than indifferent "dont care", but they dont care. You can do so much better, so give this a miss. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Absolute disaster – avoid at all costs! Visiting Restaurant Papiga in Rovinj was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. As soon as you approach the menu board, the staff is extremely pushy, practically forcing you to sit down. But once you’re seated, the attitude completely flips. The service and overall customer treatment are on a disastrous level. The waiters act completely uninterested, unprofessional, and entirely nonchalant, as if being there is a punishment. We waited an eternity for the food, and when it finally arrived, it was totally bland and tasteless. To top it all off, they didn't even issue a receipt upon payment, which is completely unacceptable and something that should definitely be reported to the authorities/inspection. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. If you want to avoid a ruined day and a terrible meal, stay far away from this restaurant!
