Made a quick stop at PappaRoti in the afternoon to pick up some of their infamous Malaysian coffee buns. For anyone who hasn’t tried them before, think soft, pillowy bread with a crisp coffee-caramel crust on top and a buttery centre. They’re $4.40 each and cash is preferred. If paying by card, there’s a 20c surcharge. The buns are served warm (pretty much straight out of the oven), fluffy, and buttery, with that fragrant coffee-caramel shell that’s hard to resist. Best eaten fresh and very easy to finish before you realise it. The shop itself is tiny but there are a few seats available. Note: They keep it simple here, just the buns as they are, no extra toppings or variations. Meal type: Other Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
