I visited Parami Pizza after a friend had been raving about it from his time living in Yangon, so I went in with fairly high expectations. The venue itself is nice. The environment is clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service was good throughout, which always makes a difference. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. The garlic bread was quite underwhelming and lacked that strong garlic flavour you would expect. The pizza itself was good. The base was airy, not too thick, and nicely done. That was definitely the highlight of the meal. However, the meatball sub style dish we ordered was disappointing. It was overly sweet and, to be honest, barely enjoyable. The pricing was reasonable, but given the expectations, it didn’t feel like it fully delivered. It’s clearly a spot that caters more towards foreigners, and while we were there, I noticed only foreign customers dining. One thing that really stood out was the lack of atmosphere. The restaurant was very quiet, with no music playing, which made it feel slightly awkward at times. Even just some background music would have helped create a more relaxed, casual dining vibe. Overall, it’s not a bad place, but it wasn’t particularly memorable either. With a few improvements, especially in flavour and atmosphere, it could be much better.
