Enjoy a drink at Parish Barbecue

The cooks here prepare good salad rolls, carnitas and black pudding. You will be offered perfectly cooked kolaches and tasty doughnuts. Delicious craft beer is among the best drinks to order. Get your meal started with great coffee.

Select between indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is pleasant that's what makes this bbq so nice. Prompt service is something visitors like here. Parish Barbecue got the Bib Gourmand award for good meals at affordable prices.

Michelin Guide rating

Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking.

Holden Fulco, who spent time at Franklin, Interstellar and other well-known places, is the force behind this barbecue spot in a stationary trailer that's located behind Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches. It's a simple set-up outdoors with picnic tables, and there are plenty of seats indoors too... More info

I am still sad not to have gotten to try the pulled duck or boudin, those sell out very fast, but I love the NoLA fusion on offer here! Got the turkey, house-made ham, crawfish stuffing, and pimiento mac and cheese. Prices are pretty typical compared to other BBQ places, though the duck is a large premium. I think my favorite was actually the crawfish stuffing, I housed it in a minute! Great combination of fishiness, creole spices, bread, and a hint of crunch. Pimiento mac was also excellent, the breadcrumbs on top was a nice touch, and it's so rich, thick, and cheesy with a mild bite. The turkey had great flavor, but I have to say I found it a bit tough and weirdly a bit greasy considering the meat. Ham was great though, tender, sweet, earthy, and meaty. I tried both of their sauces, and I liked the creole mustard one quite a bit, but I found the vinegar one weirdly sweet. Had been hoping for something a bit more eastern carolina style with some pepper. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had Parish Barbecue for lunch on a Thursday around 12:30pm and were able to walk up and order without a wait. We ordered the Lagniappe tray with: brisket (amazing juicy and fatty), ham (great), duck (great), mac and cheese (solid),stuffing (excellent), turkey (great), coleslaw (meh), tomato salad (perfect with the meal), two sausages (great) that came with buns (pistolette buttery fried buns - delicious), pickles and onion. Super impressive across the board. For the five of us more than enough food and had leftovers. Eating outside on large tables with shade. The beers from Batch next door were solid. My only criticism was that the outdoor tables were a little gnarly and not cleaned from food and grackles. Would definitely go back, a great Texas BBQ experience. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
