Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum can be on your route by default, the guests' recommendation is to come to this restaurant. Good coffee is worth a try here. The pleasant staff meets you at Parkside Cafe all year round. But this place is not highly appreciated by Google users who provided it a below average rating.

The food is good but on the expensive side. As a first time visitor I was a bit confused at first with the ordering process and where to pick up the items (given that the counter is quite large). The place itself is quite nice and has a good amount of tables both inside and outside. I agree with others that at certain times it can get crowded, but manageable. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

This review is specifically for the beast craft bbq located within the cafe: As a grad student I have tried a lot of student food options between washu and my undergrad school. I decided to give this spot a try tonight as I didn’t really want qdoba, and most of the other spots close to the center of campus are either just cafe level food or seem to be more for the dining plan students-so I opted to try beast as I saw it on the Grubhub app. I am in genuine disbelief at how good this place is. I ordered the bowl with pulled pork, it was around $12 but when I tell you it is worth every penny. I was a bit worried as I ordered at 7pm and the bbq place is open til 8, scared they might be out or be down to the bare bones of ingredients. Not at all, and it was ready within 5 minutes of ordering! Definitely will be back and cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a more substantial meal. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
