I ordered the no-frills named 'Hamburger'. The presentation of the burger was really nice and looked like a classic 'hamburger' should look like. Whilst the pattie was cooked a little more than I'd like, it was still moist and juicy, with the flavours on the burger working so well. The red onion, tomato and lettuce were fresh and provided a tasty crunch with each bite. The burger sauce was flavoursome and was perfectly applied so it gave a well rounded burst of flavour without overpowering the whole burger.
The chips (note - not fries) were awesome, and come in one of those classic hot chips cups. Cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
The pub itself is a pretty nice venue with cosy lounges along the Clevenland Street wall. Out the back theres even a real dartboard (none of this electronic crap!) with a chalkboard so you can keep score!
Overall the food is good, and they even do a Sunday Roast. Theres a really good selection of craft beers on tap to choose from as well.
Overall a top pub. Good grub, good drink, good times. Will be back for sure!!!
