An overall good vegetarian/Vegan restaurant with a good selection of different dishes. We decided to visit here for a dinner with some Vegan friends, it was great to see the variety and the food that we had was all nice. The loaded Gnocchi was great as a starter, and I would definitely recommend this. The Paella was a little over priced as it wasn’t particularly packed with protein, it was mainly pasta. The Firenze was lovely and I would definitely recommend this. The Catalonia was a little over priced and bland, so would not get this again. For desert the filled donut balls are a must, they were lovely. Overall it was worth the visit, but we unfortunately won’t be back. Nice place and lovely staff but let down by the food a little. I had the paella but it was disappointing, it had a very odd flavour, certainly not how a paella should taste. Shame as I was expecting better Service: Dine in Price per person: £30–40 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We’ve been to Pastan Barbican in London earlier this year and it was delicious. Bristol opened up a few months ago and is our ‘local’ one so we decided to finally pay a visit. The restaurant is pretty and clean. It’s well located in central Bristol and was convenient to get to. On a side note, if you’re driving, remember Bristol now has a clean air zone fee for certain vehicles where fees may apply. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming waitress who was serving the whole restaurant. She took us to our table and was helpful and attentive the entire duration of our stay. The food was delicious. The loaded gnocchi was actually better than what we had at their London branch, full of flavour and a great size portion. We visited on a Friday lunch time where there was a £10 dish deal which was great. My husband had the Green Velvet and I had the Comfort You. Both were great and delicious and as part of the deal, were very reasonably priced. What I would say is that we overheard another table mention how the portion size was smaller than expected and it was explained that due to the £10 deal, portions were reduced. If this is the case, the restaurant should specify this and give customers the option for full size at full price to avoid any questions or complaints. Just to confirm, we did not have this complaint. We were full leaving the restaurant with very happy tummies. I ordered the mini doughnuts to go which was a great decision and had them as a snack at home later. I would absolutely recommend a visit to Pastan Bristol.
