The food was delicious and the waiter was very kind. I’m traveling from the US, and I’ve experienced some locals in Rome who were less than enthusiastic to see me. It was very nice to feel welcomed and have a nice meal outside of the busier areas. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Vegetarian options: They have salad, potatoes and various street food options.

Bompiani Trattoria is, without a doubt, my new all-time favourite restaurant. From the very first bite, I knew this place was something special. The carbonara was easily the best I’ve ever had: rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced without losing its authenticity. The cacio e pepe was equally incredible, proving that simple ingredients can create something unforgettable when prepared by people who truly know their craft. And the pizzas? Every single one was delicious, with perfectly crisp, light dough and outstanding toppings. The food alone was enough to make me want to move to Rome just so I could eat here whenever I wanted. What made the experience even more memorable was the service. A special thank you to Simone, who was not only incredibly professional but also one of the funniest and coolest people we’ve met during our trip. He made us feel genuinely welcome, added so much personality to the evening, and turned a fantastic meal into an unforgettable experience. If you’re visiting Rome, Bompiani Trattoria is an absolute must. Authentic food, amazing atmosphere, and service that goes above and beyond. I couldn’t recommend it more. I’ll definitely be back!
