Hidden gem alert! We had a great dinner at Path under the guidance of Chef Tony & Sean his sommelier. The tasting menu is very creative and perfectly executed, flavours & textures combined perfectly. The level is clearly above many Michelin starred restaurants in hk. Highly recommended +++. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $500+

don’t let the odd location deter you from making a reservation, a meal at Path is truly so special! came for their summer dinner menu and thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes. they were creative and showcased exciting flavour pairings, yet always balanced and legible to the palate—a welcome improvement since they first opened. most memorable was the lily bulb with snappy sugar peas and stracciatella amuse bouche, lobster and cheese topped with ikura, gindara fish with a luscious lemon confit and pea shoots, and the roasted aged duck with sticky rice and tangerine peel—an unexpected combination that i thought really worked. Path’s signature dan dan noodles with flower crab and chili crisp also need no explanation. you have to have it. i’ve essentially mapped out most of the menu but that should be saying something! i also have to give a shout out to Path’s zero proof drinks pairing. this is new territory for them but they have executed brilliantly; Sean is insanely talented and has created such unique pours. favourites were kombucha fermented with wild white tea that mirrored characteristics of white wine, as well as a milky “sake” made from rice, soy milk, and lacto-fermented honey and red dates for sweetness. food: small bites and dessert were great, main dish of duck was perfectly cooked, seafood was so so. Interesting concept of chinese western fusion with some japanese ingredients, or just asian fusion, complicated. wine pairing was good in terms of price and taste. Last cup of jasmine tea was the best. overall, good to try once in a while. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $500+
