This place is empty. There's no atmosphere at all. I orders a double smash with sweet potato fries. The burger was nice though kinda bland. The fries might be the best SPF I've had in Dublin. I also tried to order a cocktail which is on the menu and the chalkboard but they had none. Not just out of the type I wanted, they had none at all. The service was really poor. I had to ask for cutlery and napkins and ended up bringing the bill up to pay. The server was too interested in the phone to care. Not sure I'll be back unless they get cocktails, and retrain the staff. Price per person: €10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I really wanted to like Patties, I'd been looking forward to going since I saw the sign up outside for ages, it felt like forever for it to open up. The restaurant was very clean, nice layout, quick service, nice host. Nice menus. Everything looked good. The let down the burger. Nothing to do with the quantity, the burger itself just tasted a bit too lean in the meat, a smash burger is meant to be greasy and high fat percentage, but this was a bit more chewy rather than fully smashed. I don't think it was cheap quality, just it felt like the wrong meat. The portion was good, for a triple smash it was 13.50, which for 3 patties ain't bad. The sauce was nice it's just the meat itself let it down. The cheese was decent as well. It's a pity too because I'd been looking forward to going for so long that it was a let down. I'd been hoping for something similar to Dash Burger close to home and unfortunately it just missed the mark. My friend enjoyed the disco fries and said they were nice, but for me the burger, while not bad, wasn't great either. I'm being nice with a 4/5 because I do think the place has potential and I'd love to see it succeed. Hopefully they get it right in future. But right now, won't be rushing back.
