We were looking for a good place near the Duomo for a light lunch. A bit pricey but fresh and delicious. We ordered beef carpaccio, caprese salad and white wine. Generous portions, great service. It’s located on the ground floor of an incredible gourmet italian grocery store where you can spend a fortune on italian delicacies. Great place both to eat and shop if you’re a serious foodie.

This was a perfect spot for the casual dinner we wanted. Taking our time and enjoying the outside seating (carefully selecting our table to avoid the always-present smokers), we went through two bottles of white wine, a Barbera d'Alba Peiragal and a Friulano Ronco delle Cime, both regional Italian wines we'll never find on Maui. We ordered a selection of Italian cheeses, of which the pecorino was the best. Plus a plate of sweet culatello di zibello, thin sliced ham similar to prosciutto. Its never available in the US and rare even in Italy, first time for us. Awesome flavor. Plus some warm Italian bread. This restaurant is an offshoot of Peck's Market, Milano's top end grocery and delicacies store just around the corner. No doubt that's why they have such great food. People (and tram) watching, beautiful weather, and only a two block walk back to our hotel.
