We went to the newly opened Pecks restaurant on Saturday (in the Leone restaurant at the Lion and Swan). We have been going to Pecks for years and went with my parents who have been going since it opened. We were hopeful that it would be just as good as the old Pecks and it did not disappoint. The food was beautiful as always and the service was brilliant. On entry we went into the back bar area where we were served promptly, however others were not as lucky and were waiting a while (we put this down to teething issues though as only 2nd night open). We were then called through to the dining area where we were seated and our glorious 7 course meal was started. The food was exceptional and each course well thought out. Between the four of us, we ordered a variety of food and it was all lovely. The only course that we felt slightly let down by was the deserts as the 'chocolate orange roulade' did not taste of orange and one of the other cakes was a bit tasteless. However overall we were more than happy with the food and left very full. The staff were brilliant and attentive and as always, knew all the information about the food that they come around and present. We had a great night and would not hesitate to go back.
