Only stopped in for a cocktail, ended up staying for dinner. Had planned to eat at another restaurant, which we love. We were enjoying talking with Jennifer ( bartender), that we stayed for dinner. Food was very good, as were the cocktails and wine. Had the mushroom ravioli and the pork tenderloin. Made both of us wanting to come here again. There is nothing but good to say about this restaurant overall. I do wish, however, that the chef would have been more accommodating when it came to my special request regarding a menu item. I asked that olives be kept out of an appetizer, but the chef flatly refused, claiming the overall flavor would be compromised. As I *hate* olives (even the flavor of them or any hint they had been present), the chef's position meant we found ourselves between a rock and a hard place. My only choice was to select something else or hold my nose and pick out the olives. I selected something else, as I didn't think a patron, at these prices, should pick through his or her food to cull out an unwanted ingredient. Even so, this restaurant, even with a quirky chef, is tops in the Grand Traverse area.
