We are a French family of five and chose Peperoncino for our last evening in Crete. We had noticed it during our walks around Rethymno and really wanted to try it. It’s located in a very lively part of town, with a large terrace and a great atmosphere. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely full. They asked us to wait at the bar and told us it would be around 20 minutes, but they actually found us a table after only about 10 minutes. The cocktails were very good, the Italian food was tasty, and the portions were really generous. The service was good and the staff were very friendly. It could be a little slow at times, but considering how incredibly busy the restaurant was, that was completely understandable. It is slightly on the pricier side compared with some other restaurants in Rethymno, but it’s also in a more lively, trendy area with music and atmosphere. Overall, a very enjoyable last dinner in Crete. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Pleasant dinner, the service is great and extra friendly. Managed to speak easily in English. Also the pizza (napoletana style) and the pasta we ordered were delicious, coming from Milan I can say the food is similar to what we have there. Highly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €20–25
