The best meal we had in Rome. Filet was the best I ever had and my wife and son loved it as well. The owners could of not been nicer. A must when you are in Rome. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €60–70

Tonight I have booked for seven people from Spain, Czech Republic, Greece and Venezuela. I couldn't have done better, the gricia rather than the artichokes (Roman style or carpaccio) rather than the amatriciana proved to be up to and beyond expectations. To finish, a tiramisu that tasted like grandma's house and an excellent Montepulciano d'Abruzzo to wash down the whole dinner. Ristorante Peppone is a fixed stop for me and from today it will also be for my other 6 guests. Well done.
