Lovely people, delicious Neapolitan pizza! We went on a quiet night and had a great meal and a really decent house wine. They did a takeout pizza for us as well, since it was a slow evening (we had a jet-lagged traveler back at the hotel). It was pouring rain when we were ready to go home—they called a taxi for us and we waited at our table until he came. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000

I had such a special experience at Perchè. I was really missing home, and this pizza truly brought me back to Italy. It’s incredibly authentic: every bite felt like something you’d find in a small pizzeria back in Naples. What impressed me the most was how light and digestible the pizza was. It never felt heavy, which says a lot about the quality of the ingredients and the preparation. In fact, it was so good that we ended up coming back twice in just four days! The owner speaks Italian, which made the experience even more genuine, and if you sit at the counter, you can watch everything being prepared right in front of you. It’s clear that everything is fresh and that only the best ingredients are used. If you’re looking for real Italian pizza, this place is an absolute gem.
