I enjoyed a delicious dinner at percosi, Although I was alone and I had to sample a variety of the burgers offered. Walking through the rustic wooden doors, I was impressed with how quickly I was greeted and shown to a table. I loved the design of the restaurant, Which used the natural wood as a basis for modern accents That add a luxury contemporary feel. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable.
The first burger I tried was made from kangaroo, and it was deliciously gamey without being overpowering. The burger was topped with bacon, melon, liquorice powder, salsa and sour cream, lime, honey, and mint. The sweetness of the honey paired with the acid of the lime and the cool melon was a perfect accompaniment to the hint of liquorice powder.
Next, I indulged in the deer burger, to lean ground meat topped with mushrooms, a red wine reduction, mayonnaise with basil, chestnuts, and edam. This burger had a beautifully earthy taste, and when to enjoyed in the rustic atmosphere, this burger transports you to a gastronomic natural forest.
The final burger was made from zebra, and was the first time I had eaten this meat. The grapefruit reduction complimented the grilled zucchini and grilled bacon, and the vegetable mayonnaise added a creamy texture. The sweetness and hints of bitter red onions were the best!
I have never experienced such a unique culinary adventure. I loved every morsel I put in my mouth, and would highly recommend percosi to anyone looking for a delicious burger.
