Absolutely disgusting experience. I specifically asked the staff member before ordering if the burger was a proper chicken fillet and not one of those cheap processed chicken steak burgers. I was told it was a fillet. What I was served was clearly a frozen processed chicken burger (the kind you get in bulk from places like Costco), not a fillet at all. To make things worse, the chicken wasn’t even cooked properly – it was still raw inside, as if it hadn’t even been properly defrosted before cooking. I ended up with food poisoning afterwards. As I was leaving, I also overheard a staff member talking about how dirty the oil was, which honestly explains a lot. Misleading customers about what they’re serving, undercooked chicken, and poor hygiene is completely unacceptable. I won’t be returning. I'm from Toronto, Canada. As much as I love eating regular food chain fried chicken like KFC but nothing beats a cozy home owned fried chicken spot. In Toronto, I have City Fried Chicken and in Reading, we have Perfect Chicken and Ribs. The food was amazing, very tasty. I love how they put a good amount of grease to it, makes the chicken real tasty. The wedges were crisp but soft and buttery inside. I met the owner's son who is literally the definition of a true altruist, and a genuinely kind individual at heart. Great restaurant owned by great people. 10/10, I as a foreigner recommend this place. Eating lunch here was a memorable part of my UK trip. Hope u all enjoy. Terrible place, unfit even to serve food to animals. One time I ordered chicken, it was so tough I nearly broke my teeth. The oil they use is obviously never changed, making the whole street reek of burnt, rancid grease. The situation is a real health hazard and urgently needs inspection by the health authorities. A place like this should not be allowed to operate. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
