Came to Perilla with 7 friends this past Saturday and had an unbelievable meal!! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the wait staff. Their beverage menu is incredibly interesting and offers seasonal Asian ingredients throughout - but the star was undoubtedly the amazing food. From the scallion pancakes to the rice cake royale, the classic to the chef’s tasting, the various stews, etc.. everything was spot on, with the utmost care on quality and taste. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, and shot outs to their attentive staff and amazing chef! Easy 5/5 :). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This past Friday evening, we ate at Perilla korean fare. My daughter, her fiancee and myself arrived on time for our reservation. We were graciously greeted and escorted to the bar for drinks whilst our table was being readied. Our drinks and table were ready simultaneously. With libations in tow, we took our seats. The waitress came over to explain the menu and assist our order to make sure we obtained the proper amount of food. It’s always exciting when the table grill is lit because you know smokey delicacies await. After a few minutes, another server came by and turned down the grill as it was too hot. Shortly after, our food came and we started to cook the LA galbi. Instead, we watched it languidly warm up, but not really cook. Another waiter happened by, and turned the grill back up. Galbi gobbled. Very tasty. Then someone else came by (the manager?) and turned the grill back down. Our pork belly suffered the same fate as the galbi, not really cooking. Our main waitress came over and exclaimed she would keep a close eye on our fire but did not. She mostly stood by another table cooking their food. This literal on again/off again approach to cooking our food on this likely defective grill caused us great frustration. We were promised bottomless Banchan but had to continually wait to get our server’s attention for this to occur. It felt like the whole experience was not worth the aggravation. I will say the food was delish. However the lack of ownership to our obvious issues with cooking our food would lead me to not recommend this restaurant. PQ. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $60–70
