Whenever me and my family go for dinner at Perkins we always get the best service and food! We went for a meal last night for my Mum’s birthday and sat outside in the terrace area, which was lovely and warm with the heaters. The food was amazing as always, and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Trish, Jane, Hannah and Jasmine you’re all amazing, thank you for a lovely evening! They also bought out a special happy birthday dessert for my Mum as well, thank you! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection

We booked dinner, bed (shepherd hut) and breakfast to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Nicky was our brilliant host and we were really well looked after all throughout our stay. The evening meal was delicious and our accommodation well appointed and ideal for our one night stay. Well done to all at Team Perkins for making it a real treat befitting our celebration. Having recently moved to the area, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal after a week of unpacking, assembling furniture, and generally settling into our new home. After reading the excellent reviews of Perkins Bar & Bistro in the nearby village of Plumtree, we thought it would be the perfect choice. We booked a table in the covered outdoor area, and with the warm evening, the setting couldn’t have been better. I chose the duck while my wife opted for the chicken supreme; both dishes were beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and full of flavour. The rum and raisin sticky toffee pudding was simply too tempting to resist, and I was glad I didn’t. It was the perfect end to an excellent meal. An absolute delight from start to finish.
