With light streaming in from all sides, this cheery, French-inspired bistro is a cut above your typical hotel restaurant. A collaboration between Chef Aaron Bludorn and the boutique Hotel Saint Augustine, the stand-alone dining room is painted head to toe in sunflower yellow with tall windows and a spacious patio to boot... I don't even know where to begin with this review... from the food, drinks, ambiance, aesthetic and live music by Kim & Bill; everything is 5 STARS!! Sarah, (our server) greeted us promptly and the way she was able to describe the wines we were not familiar with, just rolled off her tongue as if it was a second language she was fluent in. Once drink orders were in, we moved right into treating our tastebuds. From the apps to dessert, not a single plate disappointed. The bread and butter, topped with sea salt, I could just eat by itself. We opted to order the squash blossoms and smoked salmon dip to start. Honestly we could've ordered a second round of the apps and I would've been completely satisfied. I'll definitely be going back for more! Entrées were the perfect add on to where we began. Corn risotto with grilled shrimp and Caesar salad with salmon, both were shared and the perfect combination to split. Though we were stuffed, we couldn't miss out on dessert. Everything was too good to even consider passing up a grand finale. Pictures and descriptions absolutely do not do full justice so I highly recommend just seeing and tasting for yourself. Tucked in the middle of the St. Augustine hotel, this is truly a hidden gem in disguise. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a great experience here today. It's a beautiful restaurant within a courtyard area of Hotel Saint Augustine, and just the visit there was a lot of fun. Parking was easy on a Saturday at 5:30. It was a beautiful day, and we chose outdoor seating. We were greeted by the manager Greg, and had outstanding service all around. There was a Walter Hansel Chardonnay on the wine list, a rarity that can only be found in a couple of spots in this huge city. Our entrees were fantastic, and we even saw a rabbit hopping around in the greenery while we were enjoying our outdoor dinner. The attached photo is the duck cassoulet. Other than the great food and drinks, one thing that really stood out was the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that never felt rushed. . I'll be back soon for the burger. As impossible as it sounds, word on the street is that it's the top burger of the Bludorn/Navy Blue/Perseid burger trifecta. I look forward to earning this merit badge.
