Mexican cuisine is to clients' liking at this restaurant. Visit Pescado Borracho for a break and order good tuna poke, shrimp tacos and fried octopus. Tasty churros, coconut ice cream and chocolate custard will impress you at the first bite. It's a must when visiting this place to taste delicious margaritas, wine or tequila. Great chocolate frappe or good coffee will make your meal even more delicious and you'll certainly come back.

There should an option for zero stars. Horrible service and mediocre food. I should have known when I walked in that this restaurant would be an “Americanized” version of Mexican food with a Spanish name slapped on to make you think you will get authenticity. Not one person working that kitchen is familiar with Mexican food. I should have walked out and drove to Phoenix, at least there you can find authentic Mexican food. Also, you have to “ask” for chips and salsa? That is a given and complementary at any REAL Mexican restaurant and at least you will get served whole chips not broken ones from the bottom of the bag. Pescado Borracho is our favorite local Mexican food restaurant. The bottomless chips and salsa are a favorite. The chips are thin and crispy and they have two salsa options; tomatillo verde and charred tomato. Both are delicious, but you'll choose a favorite once you try them. They have several specialty cocktails to choose from including custom margaritas which my husband loves. You can even build your own from a wide selection of tequilas and flavors. I always order the sangria which is delicious and very easy to drink. Our go-to Mexican entree is carne asada and this dish varies widely from one restaurant to another. There are two things that make the carne asada at Pescado Borracho better than the competition. They serve ribeye, not flank or skirt steak and the seasoning is robust with a depth of flavor that stands out among the rest. Most restaurants do not sweeten their black beans and Pescado Borracho does. This is something I really enjoy. We have tried other dishes and have gone with several groups of family and friends and no one has had anything negative to say about the food. They have a small patio which is fun during the more temperate months of the year. We've tried other Mexican restaurants in the area and always leave disappointed.
