Despite being busy, we were served quickly. The chocolate banana strawberry milkshake was incredible! The real fruit tastes great but they still manage to keep it thick and creamy. The poutine was also delicious. Real comfort food. And the burgers hit the spot. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

A Timeless Tradition Worth the Trip Growing up north of Calgary, a trip to Peters' Drive-In was always the ultimate special treat. Stepping up to that iconic order window still feels like stepping straight back in time to the unmistakable hum of the place, the retro vibe, and the anticipation while waiting for those legendary, spoon-thick milkshakes. I recently had the incredible opportunity to take 3 of my own children here to share that experience for the first time. Watching them look over the endless milkshake menu was half the fun. Of course they went all-in on some wild, out-of-the-box flavour combinations that somehow tasted incredible. For food, they tackled poutines, fries, two double cheeseburgers, and one very ambitious triple cheese that turned out to be far more than he could chew! Meanwhile, I happily stuck to my childhood favourite with a cheeseburger, milkshake, an order of onion rings, proving that some classics just never lose their magic. The food is still fantastic, the service has that classic fast-paced energy, and passing down a piece of my own history to my kids made it unforgettable. If you want a heavy dose of nostalgia paired with top-tier comfort food and shakes, Peters' is a must-visit. Five stars all around! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
