Petite has great food and a comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel Miles away. I enjoy the whipped feta and pico on bread. And as always, that croissant with jam served on the side.

I was excited to have breakfast here because I hadn't been here in a long while. Great food, great coffee, delicious pastries, and a cozy atmosphere. The wait staff were attentive with coffee refills and water, but our primary waitress went MIA once she delivered our coffees and took our order. Things were busy, and it took her a while to come back to take our order, and then she didn't come around to check on us, except when I waved her down, as I had dropped my napkin and needed a clean one. I received the wrong Benedict. It was supposed to be the salmon, but I received the ham. I couldn't get her attention or even see her to let her know, so I ate what I had received. My friend mentioned that maybe they had a newer cook as her hash was a little greesy. It's still good, but not as good as in the past times she has had it. Our waitress didn't bring the check, so we went up to the counter. The friendly cashier inquired with her about our bill. She seemed perturbed and pulled us aside to remedy the issue since we wanted separate checks, and we had selected a few pastries. She couldn't recall where we were sitting or recall who we were. It was obvious that she had forgotten about us. I then let her know that I had received the wrong Benedict so that I didn't get charged for the wrong one. She apologized, then told me they were the same price, which I recall they weren't. To prove it, I added a snap shot of the menu below. She then asked me if I had ever had the salmon benedict, and I replied that I had. I was a little taken back that she would question if I knew the difference between ham and salmon. My friend vouched that I wasn't mistaken. I felt insulted. Did she think I was being dishonest? If I were dishonest, I could have left without paying, and no one would have even noticed. Unfortunately, I left irritated due to the unattentive, dishonest, and insulting waitress. I would expect a higher standard of customer service here. No response from management, I assume they dont really care. I won't be back. Parking: We had to circle around the neighborhood a few times to find a spot. It looked like it was garbage day because all if the cans were out in the street. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Eggs Benedict Croissant, Pastries, Corned Beef Hash Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Free street parking

Any time I get the chance to photograph in Portland, I take the job. In large part for my must stop at Petite Provence Boulangerie & Patisserie. I always have the Steel cut Oatmeal with blueberries and sweet cream on the bottom and the thick crust of crème Brule on the top. Heaven sent breakfast for me. Top notch service, too!
