Fancy a beer and burger? Then, you can’t go wrong here at the Beer Corner! Really liked the decor and styling with an eclectic mix of old architecture and contemporary design. Good recommendation for a pale ale from the bar man and a delightfully different cheeseburger boasting beetroot and tasty onion rings.

Also liked the vibey after-work atmosphere.

Bonuses for the best beer and food staff member seen for years - enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for his workplace and its excellent drops. Looking for a 'cleansing ale' after some ordinary wine in the city on a Monday evening. Short stroll from the Concert Hall west along St George's Tce. to the Barrack street intersection and Petition Beer Corner, part of the brilliantly restored old Treasury Building, erupted into the immediate landscape. Had a Diablo and it was sensational on a warm night and due entirely to the service had a late supper based on his recommendations. As good as the beer? Well...would need to sample a couple of times more but pretty close. If petitions are expressions of dissatisfaction they are completely reversed here - brilliant. Back again soon.
