Some of the best Mediterranean food we’ve had in this country! The falafel was garlicky, super crunchy, and perfectly soft in the middle. Great hummus and pita chips. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Recommended dishes: Falafel, Hummus, Gyro Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend

I don't write many restaurant reviews, only if they are notably good or bad. This one was in the latter category. Food: Asked for the beef shawarma plate for takeout. The beef was so salty and dry that my blood pressure shot up sky high afterwards and woke up several times with a pounding heart that night. Why so much salt!?! Are you preserving old meat with it? Service: Nothing to write mom about. Atmosphere: What atmosphere? Overpriced as well. Not going back. Update: I'm responding to your reply. I did not review the wrong business, I have a receipt for the purchase, it was only 2 days ago. I appreciate your reply but it's not good PR to make such a claim on top of things. You could have asked if I would like my money back instead. If I had stayed to eat in-house I would have sent it back to the kitchen, but as take-out after closing hours and not a local resident I didn't have that option. I'll edit my review for that courtesy but I would be surprised if it happened. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

While the ancient city of Petra is a world heritage site in Jordan, Petra Mediterranean Restaurant serves wonderful Mediterranean food from their location in the beautiful mountain community of Tehachapi. Staff is polite and respectful, while the restaurant is clean and conservatively decorated. We ordered the lamb and beef shawarma, extra humus, and chicken shawarma plate. We ate at home because of COVID. The food was hot and delicious. We will be back
